CSHKids At A Glance
A different kind of kid's theater
Here at CSHKids, we know that theater can change the world - one kid at a time. Since the founding of our parent theater, the CSHPlayhouse, in 2012, we have wanted to involve all the kids of our community. The core of our efforts is to bring theater to the kids of this valley and build teamwork, self-esteem, and a higher vision for the impact of their lives. And there is never a charge for a kid to perform in any of our shows.
Auditions for CSHKids' Spring Production
Our next CSHKids’ Show is all about you – a chance for you to shine like the stars you are! Along with our wonderful staff, you’ll get to build a show with songs and scenes that you love to perform – or maybe something you’ve never performed but always wanted to.
We want to include group numbers, solos, scenes and monologues, so there’s room for everyone to showcase their talents!
Pick your favorite song (bring a track or sing acapella, up to you!) or monologue and bring it to auditions on Thursday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 21 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the CHIME Auditorium, 19722 Collier Street, Woodland Hills. We welcome all kids from ages 10 to 17.
If you need help deciding on a song or a monologue, we have lots of ideas and can help you come up with something that will be perfect for you!
We will compile all your amazing songs and ideas and all of us will build a show unique to you – to be performed March 28 (evening) and March 29 (matinee) at Harter Hall. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30 at CHIME Auditorium.
“The stage is a magic circle where only the most real things happen, a neutral territory outside the jurisdiction of Fate where stars may be crossed with impunity. A truer and more real place does not exist in all the universe.”
